At 1 pm the official observations at the Asheville airport showed sustained winds of 44 mph from the NW with gusts to 56 mph and a temp of 32 degrees. WHEW! We have had many trees and power lines down. I apologize to those of you who tried to view the webcam and didn't see it. We have had three power outages this morning due to the wind. Some portions of the higher mountains in WNC are reporting blizzard conditions with upward of 9 ionches of snow and 60 mph winds. Most of the snow here has been blown away, and snow showers are becoming fewer and farther between. Even had a few peeks of sunshine.
