[STORMREPORTS] Snow in L.A. suburbs

Amazing! After the remarkable 90 degree temps over the weekend, Simi
Valley saw something far more rare for February. Moderate snow was
falling today around 2p.m. Simi is a suburb of L.A. at about 900 ft.
elevation. According to the NWSFO L.A.'s Nowcast issued at 2:30, the
snow wasn't sticking, but was falling moderately. In 21 years I've only
seen snow fall twice, just on the other side of the hill from Simi, same
elevation, in the west San Fernando Valley. Once when I was still in
high school (I think it was '89), it stuck, and we had something like
1.5 to 2". And no, school was NOT canceled! :-(
