Oh yes, Steve, not only have I seen it, but last night's storm was the second time
in less than a week that we've experienced it on the Farmington/West Hartford town
line in Connecticut. On Friday night we had the weirdest phenomena I've ever
experienced: it was a full blown thunderstorm, with multiple claps of thunder and
5-6 bolts of lightning and wind driven snow so hard (2-3"/hour) it was close to a
whiteout. The storm dropped 1 1/2" in 25 minutes and left as abruptly as it
arrived.
Yesterday, same thing in 2 separate occurences--of course we all had the
"blizzard" they're terming it (we had 14" here), but twice during the storm we had
both "thunder" and "lightning" snow. I can't explain it, but I thought you'd like
to know you're not alone. Karla Dalley
