Nice report, Kevin. It is amazing how different the temps are. I am up here in Stockholm, NJ.
elevation about 1000 asl. We are experiencing heavier snow than all morning so far. Wind is
about 5-7 MPH out of the nne. My ground level temp here is 17.4F. The following is what I was
able to receive from my first SKYWARN net of this event. Thought the group may be interested
in it.....

Stay safe out there,

Report To Follow:

Sussex County SKYWARN Net

8:00 AM

KB2WFF, Stillwater; onset 5:30-6:00AM snowfall total at 8 AM 3.5 inches Temp 19.8

N2TTT, Newton snowfall total about 2 inches

AA2ZI, Hardwick (Warren County) snowfall total 2 inches

N2TTP Stockholm snowfall total 4.5 inches Temp 16.7 Barometer 29.54F moderate snow

The above was called into NWS at 8:25 AM, Reported to Jim Eberwine.

Outlook for the rest of today, per Cosgrove and NWS (and a dose of McKay)

Snow, heavy at times, accumulations of upwards of 12-16 inches. There is still a threat of Thundersnow
which will increase snowfall amounts near and around the convective areas of the storm. The storm right
now is off the Delmarva and is slowly skirting up the coast.

The dry zone that was on the NGM model yesterday evening has shrunk as this happened, there is less of
a chance of a snow respite.

Late this afternoon the low will be just north of us and that will foster the wrap around effect which will usher
in colder air and cause considerable drifting and blowing snow. White out conditions cannot be ruled
out.

The next SKYWARN Net will be run on 147.300 at 10:00 AM local time.

Thank you to all spotters that checked in today. At next net, liquid equivalents of snowfall will be appreciated.

Thank you again,
Stay safe
