Southeast Georgia Weather
Hard freeze warning tonight wind chill advisory this morning and
tonight.
Temperatures are expected to drop to the lower 20s tonight, with
freezing temperatures lasting for 10 to almost 16 hours. A few areas
will see the upper teens late tonight. In addition, northwest winds
of 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph will produce wind chill values
both this morning and tonight in the single digits to the middle
teens. Be particularly careful with portable heaters, there is danger
of fire or poisonous fumes. To prevent freezing and possible bursting
of outdoor water pipes, pipes should be wrapped, drained, or allowed
to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should
drain their systems, or cover any above- ground pipes to protect them
from freezing.
