Winter Storm Report 1:45am Sunday
Snow began to fall here in the Asheville, NC area just after 10 pm. So far, only light snow has fallen resulting in wet roadways. Temps are very near freezing, with 33 here, 2mi. west of downtown. Snow has become less spotty and more constant although still light. Sanding of roadways has also begun in anticipation of this snow event. Will report again later as conditions warrant.
