Winchester (nw) VA
One of the bad things of sleeping past 12noon, is when there is a sunny
morning, i miss it. Even when it is sunny all day, i have only about 4
hours to enjoy it before it starts getting dark again.
Anyway, a sunny sky Wed am gave way quickly clouds in the afternoon. Tue
evening low was 31, which fell on to 27 at 4:35am Wed. At noon Wed,
the high was 49.

The rain arrived about 4pm, and lasted about 3 hours. With the NWS
forecasting the chance of t-storms, i tuned in my AM radio in hopes of
hearing a few bolts (static). I heard almost a dozen. In fact, i heard a
few thunder claps.
Weathertap lightning detection showed bolts stretched between the PA
turnpike & I-66 from the eastern Appalachians east to the Atlantic
between 4 & 7pm. I counted several dozen C/G strikes on the screen.
This shot is of lighter rain [that does not show well]. Moderate rain
fell at times, with a total of .12" Wed, w/ a PWG of 12 mph at 5:35pm.

I am rushing this thru now, because a light snow shower is rapidly
approaching, and i want some film of it for Thursday's wx shot.
