NWS forecasts had hinted that there was a threat of wintry wx Sat. They
had even issued a winter storm watch Fri for Sat. By Sat am, nothing
more than winter wx advisory was in affect.

As it turns out, nothing more than sprinkles and a brief mod shower fell
Sat. Temps hung around 34 in town, briefly rising to 36 before the 4pm
Shower.

Outside town, temps were 31/32, and before i left work, i heard of
slippery conditions in rural locations, especially south.

After dark, moderate periods of rain moved in, & temps did not budge
from 34 degree reading. By 10pm, a few icy patches were reported. By
midnight, .40" rain fell. Sat low was 27, the high 36.

When i went to film the sky before going to the grocery store, only a
few clouds (albeit fast moving). I filmed the sky again when i returned
when i got home, & liked this (break in the) formation the best. The sky
was variable from 20% to 90% cloud cover.

I was hoping for clear skies Sun evening, to perhaps see the aurora.
[Auroras are likely in northern states, & possible further south the
next several nights, details: http://www.spaceweather.com ]But no luck.
In fact radar shows more rain threating to return before dawn.

Overnight, rain accumulated .18", the storm total is at .58". For Nov,
the total is 1.2", about half of normal. No significant precip is
forecast this week. Showers today might total .1", and another chance of
rain/snow showers fore Wed/Wed night.

Sunday low was 34, the high 52. That is the closest to normal we have
been in 9 days. Seasonable to seasonable cold air in the forecast this
week. The next blast of Artic air due this coming weekend.
