The USA Disaster Situation Report
Since Jan. 24 2000 I have been producing the USA Disaster Situation Report.
Since Jan. 31, 2000 I have been involved in attempts to correct a wrong that
has affected a large number of people. This is not something that I wanted
to do, but felt that due to the nature of that wrong, that I had to do
something.
For the last 2 months I have spent the greater part of my time preparing to
file a lawsuit. As a result I have had to forgo my participation in
national and international efforts to develop the ways and means to
facilitate the communication of the disaster message.
The one thing that I have not slacked off on is in the preparation of the
USA SitRep. I have been told that I love the report more than the people
that are closest to me. Of course this is not true, but I do drop
everything else when it comes time to create the report.
The number of subscribers to the report has flattened out and may be
dropping. Given the amount of effort required to produce the report and the
number of subscribers, it has never been a money maker.
What I want to do with my life is to participate in the development of a
global disaster information network. I believe that over the next 100 years
that network will be responsible for saving trillions in capital values and
millions of lives.
I have been trying these last 3 years to develop a commercial site that
profitably promotes disaster communication and disaster education. I feel
that if I can figure out how to profitably communicate this is important
knowledge, that this will result in the communication of this message in
it's best economic sense. If we can figure out what is the most cost
effective way to communicate this information, than we will be well on our
way to creating a world where the risks of disaster are far less.
