Hello all,
After going out of town a month ago (for a week) , i have been
trying to play catch up w/ my e-mail, thus my absence of posts.
It has been a wet month, Sundays rain brings Aug total to about 4.5",
and that means more mowing of the grass (4 so far this month, compared
to the normal of 1 or 2).
Any way, Sundays storm hit about 4pm, and dumped a total of 1.3". At one
point rain was falling between 2.5 and 3" an hour. One inch fell less
than 25 minutes, causing brief minor flooding in my neighborhood.
Lightning struck a few houses, 1 reportedly causing an injury, but
todays local newspaper website has no mention of the storm (which was a
normal storm less the heavy deluge).
Weathertap radar showed cloud tops to 7 miles high here, and local 2"
amounts of rain in my county.

PS for Webtv users: Webtv is offering to replace free of charge, the
older units, w/ a new unit, if you make a 3 year contract w/ them. I
