This storm marched through western portions of my county and a funnel cloud was reported about 9 miles west of me. (asheville) This was reported on the local news, but not confirmed.
Intellicast radar summary had defined it as rotating (MESO) and tornado vortex signature (TVS) on this radar pic.
Numerous warnings in about 10-12 counties accompanied this line of storms as it moved through western NC. There are numerous reports of wind damage scattered around and at last report about 3000 customers were without power during the storm here in Buncombe county.
