The hits keep coming! A little bit late in getting this out today, but
here are a few useless weather stats for 7/20/00. Looks like parts of TX
and some other southern regions will get a break from the intense heat
soon.

Maximum Temps for July 20:
Mobile AL hit 101 degrees, which broke the old record of 98° in 1965.
Pensacola FL reached 102 breaking the 97 degree mark, set in 1965.
Tallahassee FL tied its record high of 100 degrees, set in 1986.
New Orleans LA hit 98 degrees, breaking the old record of 96 in 1981.
Jackson MS reached 102 degrees, one up from the 101 mark, set in 1951.
Houston TX hit 102°, breaking the old record of 100, set back in 1944.
Corpus Christi TX reached 99°, which broke the record of 98 from 1971.
