Three Texas stations set new record high
temperatures Friday afternoon. Austin reached 105
degrees which broke the previous record of 103 set
in 1998. Corpus Christi reached 101 degrees
replacing the previous record of 97 degrees set in
1997. Brownsville also set a new record with 100
degrees, replacing the previous record of 98
degrees set in 1906.
The high temperature at my station here in Temple,
Texas was 105 degrees. This has been the warmest
temperature so far this year. Also of note, the
maximum relative humidity at my station was only
66%.
