Hey,

Sometimes, I have read, that the turbulence from thunderstorms will kick rain
and hail out from the storm itself. That could be the culpret of your rain.
As for the "Bolt fromt he Bule" that could of been from the same
thunderstorm, but the lightning coming from the top of the anvil of the
storm. Were these thunderstorms fairly severe or strong, because if so, this
could be the reason for it!:-)
