I must say Tom you do seem to have some very intense storms. I live in
Port Richey which is only about 30 miles from you and I haven't seen as
many intense storms. There have been two or three. I am not a
meteorologist so I'm not up on the fancy terminology so I'll just say we
had a stationary front over us setting off a few strong thunderstorms.
They were not severe storms though! We did get 2.15 inches of rain in
the two storms that we did have move through. Nothing unusual here! Just
the same type of thunderstorms we usually get in summer! No bolts from
the blue! Ball lightning or any other odd phenomena! All my life I have
seen and heard people talk about these things but have yet to ever see
any of them myself! I guess I have always been in the wrong place at the
wrong time! We did have two fairly strong storms pass through Port
Richey today and moderate amounts of rain! Maybe one day I'll get lucky
and see a bolt from the blue! Until then I'll just have to accept on
faith that such things occur! Artie Stevens
