From: Jesse Ferrell (CASI) (j{at}weatherwatchers.org)
Date: Fri Jun 02 2000 - 09:25:39 EDT

The Slight Risk was just upgraded to a MODERATE RISK for most of PA,
eastern NY, and portions of the "small states". This is a potentially
dangerous situation, please be careful today if you live in these areas.

The main threats will be high winds (35% chance), and hail (25%
chance).

The Storm Prediction Center says:

CONVERGENCE/LOW LEVEL FRONTOGENESIS IN
ASSOCIATION WITH ADVANCING COLD FRONT WILL ASSIST IN
CONVECTIVE
INITIATION PROCESS BY THE EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS FROM
CENTRAL NEW
YORK INTO KENTUCKY. ACTIVITY WILL SPREAD EAST DURING
THE AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING WITH POTENTIAL FOR BOWING SEGMENTS
AND ISOLATED
SUPERCELLS. WIND DAMAGE APPEARS TO BE PRIMARY
THREAT...ESPECIALLY
                   IN THE MODERATE RISK AREA.
