At 3:30pm RDU posted a temp of 91 with a dewpoint
of 66. Looks like July-like weather in May.
Tomorrow brings an interesting dilemma. Looking
at Satellite and upstream reports it looks like some
very good dynamics will exist for Thunderstorms by Sat
5/12 evening. The only limiting factor is lack of
moisture....
My best forecast would be for RDU to see hazy
skies with temps near 95 (temps tend to run warmer
than NWS predictions on sunny days)on Saturday. The
few souls who see thunderstorms should exercise
caution due to the potential for high winds, hail, and
dangerous lightning.
We shall see if the NWS posts a Severe
Thunderstorm Watch on Saturday.
