this report is put together by facts, that I gathered up, as close to truth as I can get. gathered from people in the storm, the local radio station, nws reports, and observations by other reliable sourses, such as people I know in the areas that were hit. tuesday night, six pm severe weather statement, possible severe storms headed for bradford county, schemong, county tiaoga, county both in new york. correction bradford county pa. moving east at 30, wind damage shemong, big flats, horse heads, large 1.75 inch hail tompkins county new york lines down 1.00 inch hail. storms seem to die down for a short while until about 11. oclock, wind dammage waverley, new york houses, dammaged, siding blown off a fiew roofs dammaged power lost, river road closed from trees and lines, utility pole snapped, milltown as much as I can gather severe wind damage, to houses, cars blown, over, trees down, boat overturned and severely dammaged lawn tractor blown across the road, school in that area closed from damage., waverly sco
ol closed from damage and power loss. power did not return to milltown till 10 am. 8 o'clock, a m. severe storm warning stuben county storm moving northeast 30, 9 m storm warning, tompkins county moving northeast 30 large 1.00 inch hail wind 65 mph. 1030 a.m storm warning bradford county, I was getting torencial rain at that time. power went off for a fiew minutes. winds 58+ trees down monrroton, canton, large hail 1.5 inch, torencial rain verry frequent lightening. short die down. 2 oc'lock severe storm warning for bradford county, tornado warning tompkins shortly before, not shure of axact time out trying to asess damage. storm moved over sayre at apr. 2 30 tarencial rain. marble size hail wind 80 damage to some structures, apartment caught fire, shemung view, aparrtments, severe flooding, east athens. 17 washed out. near elmira. road compleetly washed out in east athens, lidgefield school bus load of kids missing, found bus, all acounted for. made a rescue. lidgefield. no details, road washed out, east
athens houses flooded. roads washed out. scanners opedned to emergency traffic only. wind dammage same area, gas leek, could not determine if it was storm related. things died down 430 p.m state college ishued tornado warning for lancaster, storms movedd out of my area, into susquhanna. county. about 50 severe warnings for pa. severe watch for all counties in my area from about 11 oclock till five. that is all will report on damage as I get information, casi member william spencer. have another chance of severe weather saturday, however nws says it may move in in the morning cutting down on intensidy
