Well, it was quite a day. My high today was 83 and sunny, before the front moved through, and as of a half-hour ago, it was 38 outside. QUITE a change--almost 50 degrees!! Had .51 inches of rain. Not a lot, in spite of impressive-looking radar earlier today--looked like it was going to tear up Jake--but no go. It's still raining lightly, but we had no thunder or lightning today. It sure was windy earlier, though--the wind kept rattling the screens against the storm windows, and we think one of our recycle bins blew away (either that, or the two-legged rats got to it). Using ol' Beaufort's scale, the gusts were in the 40-50 mph range, and the constant wind was around 20-30 mph. NOT a good day for kites--unless you want them treed!!
I wouldn't mind a few snow flakes now, as it's snowing west of me, but I'd rather have them a week from now. Next Saturday is my birthday, and I've always wanted a little snow for my birthday. I've missed it by a week either way, but I keep wishing!! :-D
