Well here's the report.
I had seen this on radar, and figured I had an hour...nope...close
but no burrito!
Storm BLASTED through here at 50 MPH. I thought I had time to get to
the laundrette....I almost made it. Got up on Platt Springs by NCR
and could see clear behind the D A R K......hey it's swhooshed
circular with BIG rain shaft in middle like a powerful meso...hey
it's a FAKE meso! No thunder lightning....cameras in car to record
the last moment........[rotfl] ah see the rain coming up... a core
punch....<G> Suddenly visibility drops to ZERO in really heavy rain
and strong winds...gust in the mid 40's! Finally break free. Water is
standing... actually flowing downhill 4 inches deep at Caroline
Square.
Rain stats.... .28 total, .23 in under 10 minutes. Wind Damage in
Sumter and Darlington county. Eastern COASTAL NC could have some
very strong storms...much more unstable AND temps were in the low
80's!
Cleared off here, NC / SC / GA mountains have SNOW FLURRIES in
forecast.
