As I had forecasted a couple of days back, unseasonably cold weather
arrived in Central Florida overnight.
I had a chilly early morning low temp. of 40 deg here in the rural
agricultural fields west of Plant City, here in Hillsborough County. It
didn't break the record for the date which is 32 deg. but surpassed the
coldest temp. of March 2000 which was 42 deg.
The automatic weather stations in nearby Dover had 44 and Brooksville
36. In southern Hillsborough County Ona had 47 deg and NWS Ruskin 51
deg. The cold spot in the state was in the panhandle with Crestview at
30 deg. This follows on the heels of many days in the upper 80's/60's.
