Hi there,
We are located near Hot Springs, NC. High atop a mtn here right at the
4,000ft level. It was very nice here today, the high was about 58. That is
fairly warm for being as high as we are.
Anyway, I read your report for today from the casilist, and wanted to tell
you about the other night. We had some massive winds and gully washing rain
here Mon night, enough to blow down 5 trees, that have withstood 4 to 15 ft
snows. I have never seen such wind as this though, it was more like a
hurricane than anything!!
Now, what I really want to know is this. Are the old timers right in their
predictions of an upcoming bad summer and winter?? They tell me if we have a
mild January (like we had) and a wet spring (like we have LOL) that we will
be in for it. And I'd also like to know if you or anyone you know have done
any research into this?
Thanks so much,
Anna
