[CASI-SR] Texas Storm Reports

Storm reports from severe weather that occurred Thursday afternoon and
evening (3/16) were received from north of the Dallas/Fort area all the way
south to San Antonio Texas. Most of these reports were concerning hail. A
list of the more notable reports follow. All times CST.

4:00 p.m. - Leander, Williamson County - Numerous funnel clouds reported by
the public.

4:20 p.m. - 10 miles N of Austin, Travis County - Tornado reported by
Austin Bergstrom Airport Control Tower.

4:20 p.m. - 7 miles SW Georgetown, Williamson County - Tornado reported by
NWS forecaster
4:30 p.m. - Seward, Williamson County - 1.75" hail
4:30 p.m. - Near Cedar Park, Williamson County - 1.75" hail
4:50 p.m. - Georgetown, Williamson County - 1.75" hail
5:15 p.m. - Pflugerville, Travis County - Tornado, Brief touchdown
5:18 p.m - Travis County Sheriff Office, Travis County - 1.75" hail
5:32 p.m. - 4 miles N San Marcos, Hays County - 1.75" hail
5:58 p.m. - 3 miles S Elgin, Williamson County - 1.75" hail
6:28 p.m. - Meridian, Bosque County - 1.75" hail. Dime to golfball size
hail reported by sheriff office.
6:57 p.m. - Blum, Hill County - 1" hail covering the ground several inches
deep.
