For those that are just waking up to Winter Snow Storm 2000. The best thing
to do is to stay home until the roads clear. The plows are hard at work but
at the rate the snow is falling, they cannot keep up. The Washington D.C.
are is expecting anywhere from 4 to 10 inches of snow. This storm came as
quite a surprise to all of us this morning. We did not expect any snow but
we are socked in now. Most of the east coast from South Carolina north to
Maine is experiencing heavy snowfall. In Fairfax and Manassas, there is an
accumulation of at least 4" already. The snow is not expected to stop until
late this afternoon. Good luck to those that are trying to drive, the
conditions are bad even with 4-wheel drive.
