[CASI-SR] Heavy Rain In West Central Florida

Heavy rainfall fell in West Central Florida on Thanksgiving evening, in
association with a line of thunderstorms.
I picked up 1.27" at my location in west Plant City. Some other amounts
include 2.50" in Brandon and 4.14" in Brooksville.
The following synoptic conditions existed at the time. Max temps. in
the low 80's, precipitable water amounts of 1.50" or higher, a lifting
index of -4, a westward moving inverted surface trough and an active
west coast/east coast seebreeze.
As the day progressed a westward moving broken line of showers and
thunderstorms moved across the peninsula. As the impulse collided with
the west coast seabreeze along the I-75 corridor (normal summer
occurence), it exploded into a solid line of thunderstorms, from just
east of Ft. Myers to just west of Gainesville. The line was
approximately 200 miles long and 10-15 miles wide. The line was pinned
in place for 4 hours, as the colliding sea breezes were of equal
strength. The thunderstorms began a training SSE to NNW movement with
the mean 850-700mb flow.
