Exciting News about WeatherMatrix

Hi, I'm WeatherMatrix Founder Jesse Ferrell. Earlier this year we inducted our 10,000 Member. I never dreamed WeatherMatrix would grow this big. Tonight I have some exciting news and important announcements. In the interest of full disclosure, for any of you who don't know, I have been working for AccuWeather, Inc. for some time now, dabbling in programming, design, marketing and management there - all lots of fun. After talking with the executives, meteorologists, and other key people at AccuWeather, I have come to the conclusion that AccuWeather is now ready to nurture a weather community.

WeatherMatrix, now with over 10,000 members, is too large to continue under my direction due to lack of resources. This is why I am pleased to announce that this Summer, WeatherMatrix will share the company of other organizations and partners under the AccuWeather umbrella.

Respecting my wishes for a fair and complete weather community, WeatherMatrix will be allowed to continue to operate relatively independently, and for now WeatherMatrix.Net will not change, and I will still administrate it. In fact I have just accepted a position at AccuWeather as Community Manager, finally making part of my career what I have always loved to do -- bring weather enthusiasts together.

It's time to kick it up a notch, and AccuWeather will help us do it. AccuWeather will help us create and move forward the biggest and best weather community on the Internet. AccuWeather's reach through television, radio, newspaper, and Internet is unquestionable and will guarantee the rapid growth of WeatherMatrix. This new partnership will give me the time and resources I need to do exciting projects with you and will give you, the Members, a larger audience to interact with.
