Hurricane Alex

This is about as lucky as I get. Friday afternoon July 30th, a tropical depression formed off the coast of the Carolinas. By Monday night it was a full-fledged hurricane passing less than 75 miles from our ocean front beach house (see reflectivity and velocity image with my location marked above). It turned out that most of the storminess missed us but we did see 6-8 foot waves and some heavy thunderstorms. The first set of photos below were taken during some of those thunderstorms on Sunday, over 150 miles inland. The second set of photos were taken on Monday at the beach and the final set were taken on Tuesday.
